Must Have’s When Packing For Your Cruise

It’s time to pack for the best vacation in the best season of the year, cruise season! But packing gets difficult when you’re trying to maximize your space…

Finding the right balance of packing everything you need without under packing or over packing is a pre vacation stress you don’t need to stress out about.

Jiffy Jeff is a South Florida and cruise travel expert.

It may seem like right now when you are packing you only need to bring a bathing suit, but there are a few more important things to remember:

1. Bring a Waterproof Bag

This will keep things dry like any electronics and your towel since you never know when you’re going to get splashed! There are even small pouches that you can keep in your pockets for cell phones and money to keep them dry and safe.

2. Multi Plug + USB Ports adapter

Cabins on a cruise ship tend to be pretty small, meaning they are most likely not more than one or two outlets to charge everything. Who doesn’t go on a cruise without a camera, gopro, phone, laptop, and tablet? Definitely buy a plug adapter that has multiple plugs and USB ports so you can charge many things at once. You will be ready to capture everything for the next day adventures!

3. Motion Sickness Relief

The ships are big, but that doesn’t mean you won’t feel like you are in the ocean. The seas are very unpredictable and you never know if you are going to get seasick or just be feeling a bit queasy until you get your sea legs. To avoid this, bring motion sickness tablets like Bonine or Dramamine or patches or bands to ensure you won’t let the rough waters interfere with your wonderful vacation.

4. Prescription Medicine

Lastly, any required prescription medication should always be carried on board and not stored in your checked luggage. This is important because luggage delivery to your state room could be delayed and you may not receive it until late in the afternoon or evening.

This is a perfect check list to keep ahead of your trip. A few pairs of shoes, bathing suit and a couple of cocktail hour outfits and you are ready to cruise.
